Sue Swenson is President of Swenson Turner, Inc., a recruiting firm specializing in developing passive candidates for hard-to-fill search assignments for split recruiting partners. Beginning her career as a recruiter in 1989, Sue’s focus has included semiconductor, software engineering and manufacturing. Sue focuses exclusively on the food/cosmetic ingredients and flavoring industry. Her current assignments typically range from engineers up to directors and include technical as well as sales and marketing positions. Because of her firm’s research capabilities, Sue can successfully recruit for assignments in any U.S. geographical region.
Sue co-wrote Paycheck 911 (2008), a how-to book on job search with her partner, Joe Turner, to address the growing demands for a straightforward no-nonsense approach to job search to overcome today’s economic challenges. Sue and Joe have co-authored over 100 articles on job search that have been published on Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs!, Ladders and Vault, among other sites.
Sue holds a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters degree from Michigan State University. Sue resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband and business partner, Joe Turner.
When they’re not recruiting, Sue and Joe write comedy screenplays. Sue wrote and produced 17 three to five minute comedy videos on dysfunctional job interviews.
